July 30: Basil Bonanza at Marion Street Garden

Okay, DC area foodies, here's a challenge for you: what can you make with a mound of fresh basil? I mean besides pesto? Put on your thinking caps and your aprons and then join other seasonal food adventurers in the garden....Join City Blossoms for the 2nd annual basil potluck in the garden! How it Works:1. Come by City Blossoms‘ Marion St. Garden (on Marion Street, NW Between P and Q Streets, near the Shaw metro stop) during an open time between now and July 30th and pick up some free basil (choose from sweet, lemon, and thai).2. Bring a basil-themed dish to share (enough for at least 5-10 people) on Saturday, July 30th between 7:30 and 9:00pm.3. Oooh and ahhh over everyone's dishes (and try to get those pesky bits of basil out of your teeth before the awards).4.
